With its premium services, the Haute Route is more than just a cycling race.

Accommodation, transportation, massages, meals, and services during the race—Haute Route continues to set the level very high to make the experience truly unique.

When a regular Haute Route rider recalls their memories and experiences, the phrase that comes back is: “it changes a person’s life.” It would be naive to think that the route, challenges, and the challenge are the only reasons explaining Haute Route’s ability to make the experience so special. Human adventure obviously plays its role, as many riders have formed long-term friendships with other cycling enthusiasts.

However, Haute Route’s success also lies in the high quality of its services. From the first to the last day, the organizing teams do their utmost to ensure that each rider worries about nothing else than pedaling and giving their best on the bike.

Before the first stage

On the eve of departure, riders are invited to go to the Village Départ to pick up their race bib number, the rider’s kit, the roadbook, and also to familiarize themselves with the event. They also drop off their bike box, which they will find back at the finish of the last stage. Those who have rented a bike from France Bike Rentals can pick it up and settle it during the day. In the early evening, a comprehensive briefing with a presentation of the race and the organization takes place. This is an opportunity to meet the Customer Service team, led by Angélique, which is easily identifiable and serving riders from morning to night. Afterward, an aperitif and a pasta party are offered to end the day with a hot meal before facing the challenges on the bike.

A typical day on the Haute Route

Every morning, riders who have subscribed to an Haute Route accommodation package leave their luggage in the hotel lobby. It is picked up by the Haute Route teams and deposited in the new hotel each day. Then, the riders leave the hotel and go to the Départ, where they can drop off the Racebag (optional, see the services page on www.hauteroute.fr) that they will find at a designated refreshment point. The start is given at a specific time when all riders are present. During the race, over 30 motorcyclists, hundreds of signalmen or signalwomen, a medical team, and mechanical support for all riders are present on the race. Similarly, all liquid and solid refreshments are provided by the Haute Route teams. At the finish, the Haute Route village with the presence of partners welcomes the riders, each entitled to a hot lunch to start recharging their batteries. If they want, a free 15-minutes massage is offered, with the possibility to purchase additional sessions. An award ceremony for the daily rankings and an aperitif are offered in the late afternoon. After that, riders can return to their hotel and have free time until the next morning.

The day of the final stage
After the stage, riders can go for a final massage. They retrieve their bike box. The gala evening is organized in the evening, during which the riders’ companions can also participate by registering in advance through the Customer Service team. A retrospective of the week, awards for various classifications, and good vibes are on the menu for this evening that concludes a week full of emotions.

The day after the final stage
Riders can still retrieve their bike box and use optional shuttles to get to the nearest airport (except in Nice).
