– RIDER’S WELCOME PACK: Haute Route branded piece of cycling apparel, personalised bike plates and a set of bib numbers, Haute Route branded backpack, detailed Roadbook of the event.
– LOGISTIC SUPPORT: A backpack (medium size) that will be transported from village to village. A travel bag (large luggage) that will be transported from stage to stage or from hotel to hotel if you book your accomodation with us.
– ON THE ROAD: Marshals positioned along the route, motorcycle escorts, security vehicles, broom wagon at the rear of the peloton, Mavic mechanical support, medical assistance, live timing system, Feed stations
– POST STAGE: Secure bike park, bike wash area, post-stage hot meal, daily ranking and awards ceremony, daily rider safety briefing each evening for the following day’s stage, drinks party, massage service and recovery area at the finish of each stage.
– ADDITIONAL SERVICES: Videos produced daily, professional photos, Pasta Party & Closing Party.
To participate in the Haute Route Alps, it is compulsory that you provide one of the three following documents to the organisers: (1) a medical certificate stating that you are a competitive cyclist, dated less than one year before the end of the event (2) an FFC or UCI license valid for the event year (3) a certificate of completion of a health module, which you can fill in HERE once you have created your licensee space
You can upload one of these documents during the registration process or upload it at a later stage in your Njuko registration platform.

EVENT LOGISTICS AND SERVICES
On the Bike, it’s important to be well-prepared with the right equipment. You’ll need a windbreaker or gilet to protect yourself from the elements and water bottles to stay hydrated. It’s also recommended to bring cereal bars, dried fruits, or energy gels to keep your energy levels up throughout the ride. Don’t forget a pair of sunglasses to protect your eyes and a mobile phone in a waterproof pouch to stay connected in case of need. For potential flat tires, it’s advised to carry spare inner tubes or sealant for tubeless tires, tire-levers, along with a pump or CO2 canister. A multi-tool, including a chain tool, will also be useful for any emergency repairs.
In your Backpack, make sure to pack your Haute Route ID card (given to you during the registration process), comfy clothes to change after the race, as well as shoes and any tech gear such as chargers for your devices. Don’t forget toiletries, a towel, and compression socks to help with recovery after the effort.
For your Kit, you’ll need multiple layers to adapt to different weather conditions. Pack jerseys, shorts, base layers, a gilet, a cycling cap, and a beanie. Arm warmers, leg warmers, knee warmers, as well as appropriate shoes and socks, will also be essential. A buff can also help protect you from wind or cold.
For Nutrition, it’s recommended to have bars, energy gels, electrolyte tablets, and recovery drinks to stay fueled throughout the event and recover well afterward.
Finally, for Protection, don’t forget to bring sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun and chamois cream to prevent saddle sores from long hours on the bike.
We offering the best accommodation choices en route – simply make your accommodation selection in your registration. Then relax, knowing that there’s nothing you need to do after a day in the saddle, except put your feet up.

ACCOMMODATION PACKAGES FLEXIBILITY
Haute Route Backpack
On registration day, riders will be given their backpack.
You will be able to leave your backpack at the start line each morning and pick it up at the finish line for each stage.
This extra bag comes in addition to the usual Haute Route backpack service
Enjoy an Haute Route custom race bag, as well as a premium race service: your race bag will be transported to a pre-determined feed station during each stage in a dedicated van.
Benefits
Pick up extra kit, bring your own food, or any other spare gear – particularly helpful on bad weather days or if you want to stick to your personal nutrition plan.
Race bags will be available to riders (who purchased them in advance) on Registration Day, one day before the first stage.
We advise you to follow the process below:
– Please leave this this bag at the start line in the dedicated Race Bag Service truck.
– Your bag will be available in a predetermined feed station during the race
– Once the stage is completed, you will be able to get your race bag
Haute Route Travel Bag
The Haute Route travel bag is included in your registration and will be given to you when you pick up your race number.
If you book your accommodation with us, leave it at the reception of your hotel every morning and collect it in the lobby of your next hotel after the race.
If you didn’t book accommodation with us, we can transport the travel bag from race village to race village, but you will need to transport your bag from hotel to hotel.
Bike Covers:
In order to best respect the hotels that welcome us each season, all cyclists who have booked an accommodation pack with the Haute Route will be required to put a bike covers when transporting their bikes through the hotels.
You will receive the information for the rules of each hotel in which you will stay, in order to know if you have to deposit your bike in a room, a meeting room, or on the balconies of the rooms for some hotels. We thank you in advance for respecting the rules of each hotel.
The Haute Route is working with France Bike Rental to offer different bikes to our riders.

You need a race bag, an accommodation package or anything you have the option to book these services during your registration or come back to your registration booking on Njuko and add the services.
RACE AND TECHNICAL INFORMATION
You will find all the race information and downloads on each event page on the website.

Please note that the elevation gain shown by the GPX might change depending on which device (system, brand, ..) you’re using to read it. That’s why the files and information could be different, anyway at the end of the day, every rider will ride the same course with the same elevation gain!
Mandatory Riders Briefing the evening before each stage:
The Technical Director will present a summary of the next stage at the Daily Safety Briefing. The following day’s stage will then be presented to the participants, which will include:
– Essential information on the route.
– Timing.
– Weather forecast.
– Road closures.
– Other important safety information.
Any last-minute changes to the stage will be communicated during this briefing. It is mandatory that all participants attend the Safety Briefing.
Average speed:
The average speed required to complete the stages within the time limit varies between 14 and 18km/h, but generally, it means riding an average of 16km/h depending on the length of the stage and ascent.
Cut-off time, ranking and the rest of the race:
On some passes, there is a cut off time. Riders must complete every stage inside the set time in order to get an Official Finisher Ranking.
Should you overrun the set time during a stage, you will have the possibility to continue to cycle under your own responsibility. However, in case of an unfavourable medical situation, you will be under the obligation to get into the sweep/broom wagon vehicle which follows the race.
Missing the cut-off time on one day (or withdrawal for any other reason) just means you no longer receive an overall ranking. You can continue to ride until the end of the week, and will still get a ranking in each day’s competition if you complete it within the set time. You can still complete an incredible achievement!
The following modifications or equipment are strictly forbidden:
The Organisation reserves the right to perform random inspections on all bicycles and the failure to comply with these conditions could result in a participant not being allowed to start the event or a stage.
There will be between 3 to 5 feed stations per stage including at the finish line. The time trial day will have 1 or 2 feed stations. All feed stations throughout the Haute Route will be stocked with a variety of different products to help you fuel and keep you hydrated during your ride. From a variety of drinks and energy products to sweet and savoury whole foods, there will be something to suit everyone’s taste.
FEED STATION ETIQUETTE
To ensure rider’s safety, please do not block the road, and please use the bike racks provided rather than pulling up to the tables with your bike.
For riders receiving external support from family, coaches, or tour operators, note that the feed station zones are the only points on the course where assistance is permitted.
To avoid waste and limit the number of cups at every feed station, we recommend you use your own bottles.
MEDICAL SUPPORT:
The medical service of the Haute Route will consist of highly experienced doctors, medics, emergency response workers, and ambulances. The number of which will depend on the current rules specifications of the event at the time.
A medical emergency number will be put in place so that each participant can easily, in case of any major medical emergency, inform of their situation and do so 24/7 during the entire event.
The emergency phone number will be written on the Haute Route ID card, bib and bike plate.
MECHANICAL SUPPORT :
We will have mechanical support vehicles that will follow the course to assist with mechanical problems and help you make it to the finish in the best possible condition.
Puncture repair is not included in this so you will need to bring spare tubes (with appropriate valves) and tools. During the stage, you should have, at least:
– A repair kit with 2 tubes.
– A pump to deal with punctures.
We are not able to carry spare wheels for you during the week from stage to stage.
We will provide information on local bike shops if you need to buy bike parts during the week if necessary, and the mechanical service will be at the Race Village and at the start and finish line.
Results after each stage will be ratified by the Technical Director when all riders have finished, and finalised before the daily prize giving.
FRIENDS AND FAMILY
Transport during the stage or from stage to stage: we are not able to provide transport for your guests during the stage and/nor from one stage to the next one. Most riders who have friends/family rent a car to follow them during the week.
ACCOMMODATION PACKAGE FOR FRIENDS AND FAMILY
TRANSPORT FOR FRIENDS & FAMILY:
Airport Shuttle: your friends & family can book the Airport Shuttle Service (same price as you, even if they do not have a bike). You can book extra shuttle transfers by adding the necessary quantity when customizing your event. Shuttle services are not available for every event.
Your guests are welcomed to attend the pre-race Pasta Party, the final prize-giving ceremony.
Tickets will be sold at the Info Point every day.
Entry for riders is included in the entry fee.
